The VGCSA is represented by local associations in five geographic regions:

• Tidewater Turfgrass Association – covers the general area of Tidewater (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, etc.) and part of the Peninsula Region towards Williamsburg
• Old Dominion Golf Course Superintendents Association – covers the Central Virginia region, including Richmond and surrounding areas
• Greater Washington Golf Course Superintendents Association – covers northern Virginia and the beltway region of D.C. and Maryland
• Shenandoah Valley Turfgrass Association – covers the Valley region in the northwest and down through Lexington
• Virginia Turfgrass Association – covers the Roanoke Valley, Lynchburg and areas to the far west
