EIFG develops groundbreaking, nationwide IPM Planning Guide
The Environmental Institute for Golf has introduced the latest tool in Golf's Drive Toward Sustainability: the IPM Planning Guide. The guide will help golf facilities to implement and document integrated pest management plans to enhance the playability and sustainability of the golf course. And the winner is . . . Ramon Salas, 2010 Most Valuable Technician
Ramon Salas, equipment technician at Azusa Greens Country Club in Azusa, Calif., is the winner of the first ever Most Valuable Technician Award, presented by Foley United and Golf Course Management magazine. Online votes determined Salas as this year's Most Valuable Technician from among the three finalists, who had been selected from a field of 67 nominees. Salas' nomination was submitted by Robert Maycock, superintendent at Azusa Greens CC and a one-year GCSAA member. Read more and view the video >>

Zimmers has Oakmont ready for U.S. Women's Open
The USGA returns to Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club July 8-11, GCSAA Class A member John Zimmers has prepared the famed golf course for the U.S. Women's Open Championship. Oakmont has hosted more major championships than any other course in the U.S., including eight U.S. Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and a previous U.S. Women's Open. Read more >>

John Morley Distinguished Service Award, presented annually to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the golf course management profession.
